I applaud the shelter’s staff, who keep the facility extremely clean and the animals well kept! They have open hours a number of days a week where you can bring home your new loved one same day! They have lowered the barrier for adoption and want to get these pets into loving homes ASAP, which I deeply appreciated the ease of adopting 2 kittens. A lot of places want you to go online, fill out exhaustive paper work and then schedule an appointment. Animal Rescue League of Boston has made the process of adoption simple and pain free. The kittens I adopted were $380 each; prices can vary per animal and age, and of course, change over time. But the kittens were fully vetted!! Neutered, up to date on shots and in perfect health. If you’re considering adopting or a shelter to donate to, please check out Animal Rescue League of Boston!

I'm disappointed with my experience with Spay Wagon. While their mission to provide affordable spay and neuter services is commendable, their execution leaves much to be desired. The most frustrating issue is their chronic short staffing, which seems to be a recurring problem. This has led to numerous appointment cancellations, often with little to no notice. Scheduling an appointment feels like a gamble, as there's no guarantee it won't be canceled at the last minute. This is especially inconvenient for people with tight schedules or those who have to make special arrangements for transportation or time off work. Rescheduling is often a hassle, as available slots fill up quickly, and the cycle of cancellations only makes the problem worse.

We adopted a dog from ARL Dedham. The staff was great and I felt very comfortable taking our new pup home. They are there to support you after you take your pet if needed.
